The second commercial game from Nibbo. This game was awarded a 1st and 2nd place in national contests organized by IGDA Mexico and Creanimax, respectively (2006); and more recently (2007), become semifinalist in the 2nd Annual IndieGame Developers Showcase organized by ECD Systems.
Instead of having a rigid paddle, the game's paddle is more like a slingshot, which opens new gameplay elements. As it's very fast-paced, you need react quickly (and have some luck), which makes it very fun to play with friends.
I was mainly in charge of the programming and the integration of the program, and at the end, also the coordination of it.

Mecapumble is an edutainment game which helps children 6 and up learn the correct way to type. Being our first commercial game, it was quite a challenge to have it complete mostly from ground up.
Most children (and even some parents) find it very entertaining, but anyone else might get bored after a while.
My responsibility for this game was programming the main elements and incorporating other codes. I also participated writing part of the dialogs, creating most of the content of the levels and helping a bit with touch-up for the images.

CONCYTEA (Aguascalientes Science and Technology Council) edutainment biology minigame

Requirements: Pentium IV 1.2GHz, 64M RAM, 800×600 16 bits videocard.
Screenshots: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06.
Tools used: Flash CS3.
This is a simple game that was presented during the Aguascalientes' Science Week Fair 2007 at CONCYTEA's stand.
The game was made using Flash 9. As I hadn't used Flash in a while and there were plenty of changes for Action Script 3, it took me about a week or two to get a hang of it, but afterwards everything went smoothly.

Tools used: Flash MX.
For this project we created 5 mini-games that could be played via touchscreen, which were displayed at the Aguascalientes 2006 National Fair. It's estimated that around 18 thousands kids played those games during the four week long fair.
Due to the requirement for this project, we decided to make them in Flash MX, although our previous experience with this program was very limited. In about a month we learned Action Script (at least what we needed of it), and programmed the games. I coded three of the five games (screenshots 1 through 6).
